With So Many People Getting Vaccinated, Do I Still Need a Shot?

CNN recently reported that the US had reached a 60% milestone for vaccinations for those over 18. Unfortunately, this figure isn’t quite enough to achieve so-called “herd immunity.” To reach that precipice, people still need to do their part and get their shot.

In recent news reports, you may have also heard that many states are moving back to normal this summer. Though the CDC is indeed lifting mask guidelines for vaccinated people, unvaccinated people are still being asked to mask up in many places.

The only question you need to ask Alexa is, “Alexa, where can I get a COVID vaccine?” When you ask this question, Alexa will search vaccine.gov to find the closest locations with open appointments.

Alexa will also send a link to the nearest location to make an appointment if you have a smartphone with Alexa notifications turned on using the Android or iOS app.

Additionally, you can add a location if you’d like Alexa to search in a specific place. Just ask something like, “Alexa, where can I get a COVID vaccine in Erie, Pennsylvania?” You’ll then get a list of providers for that area.

Keep Yourself and Others Safe

There’s no time like right now to help end this pandemic and keep everyone, including yourself, safe.
