To fast charge your Apple Watch Series 7, you’ll need to use a USB-C power adapter with USB Power Delivery support and a minimum power output of 5W. If you have a third-party power adapter that can fast charge your iPhone 12 or iPhone 13, you can use it to fast charge your Apple Watch Series 7 as well.

You can also need to use any of Apple’s USB-C power adapters for fast charging your smartwatch, provided they deliver at least 18W of power.

The charging cable for the Apple Watch Series 7 is different from previous versions. It has a USB-C connector at one end, so you can’t use a USB-A power adapter with it. Using an older Apple Watch charging cable will also not fast charge your Apple Watch Series 7.

There’s no other third-party charger that can charge the latest Apple Watch at its full speed. So, for the fastest charging experience, you need to use the stock charging cable that came with with your Apple Watch Series 7.

Since the Apple Watch Series 7 doesn’t offer multi-day battery life, the addition of fast charging is useful as you can top up the smartwatch’s battery to get through the rest of the day quickly. Until Apple gets around to dramatically increasing the battery life of the Apple Watch, faster charging speeds are the next best solution.
